Department's Math Tutor Accepted to NASA Internship

Congratulations to one of our tutors, Nick Johnson, on being accepted to an internship with the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center as an IT specialist.  While working with the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, he will be working alongside his mentor, Cheri Ward, to develop and implement project management tools.

Symposium in the Mathematical, Statistical, and Computer Sciences

The Departments of Computer Science and Mathematics & Statistics are hosting the Twenty-Sixth Annual Eastern Kentucky University Symposium in the Mathematical, Statistical, and Computer Sciences on Friday, March 29th in the Powell Building. Student presentations will begin at 8:30 a.m. The invited speaker is Dr. Edgar Martinez-Moro from Universidad de Valladolid in Spain.

Twenty-Sixth Annual Eastern Kentucky University Symposium in the Mathematical, Statistical, & Computer Sciences

MAA American Mathematics Competition

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics will host the American Mathematics Competition (AMC) on Tuesday, February 5, 2013.  Students from across Kentucky will complete the AMC10 and AMC12 tests.  AMC is offered each spring by the Mathematics Association of America to students throughout the United States.  Additional information on the competition is available at:
